Wolves of Welton

Area of Danatroth where the majority of the campaign will take place in.
Mogus, Xanaphia, Taargus, and Gur'Thar happened to meet in a small town with the intention of fulfilling a job posting that they found. The posting described a group of wolves running rampant around the town of Welton while the guards posted in the town by the Armean government did little to investigate or quell the issue.

When they got close to the town, three wolves sprang out of the woods and attacked a nearby sheep herder. A short battle commenced and two of the wolves were killed with the third running away with his fur singed from Taargus's fire spells.

Getting into town, they ensured the shepherd was taken care of and met with Tillus Merrion and several other town representatives to discuss the job. They were told that a magic user in town named Alexius had gone missing recently who had held the primary position of defending the town with the soldiers refusing to leave the town limits. Their first course of action was to investigate the home of Alexius and nearly set it aflame while searching for clues. When none were found the group departed for the woods north of Welton.

A long afternoon of following game trails and cutting through underbrush followed with the party wary of a seemingly inevitable attack from the wolves. After following the edge of the hills for roughly an hour they came upon the central den of the wolves. Battle broke out and the party quickly discovered that these were no ordinary wolves since they spoke Common and their leaders were capable of breath attacks. The pack defended their den containing several pups in a makeshift shelter with a ferocity that surprised the warriors, but in the end, Taargus's fire sorcery and Gur'Thar's rage won the day with the two of them landing all of the final blows. Before the end of the fight and more wolves were killed, one of the wolf leaders cried for mercy and the party halted their assault. the other wolf leader who was then revealed to have named himself Flame took that opportunity to make one more attack before he was swiftly beheaded by Gur'Thar. There would be no futher bloodshed however as the adventurers agreed to speak to the wolves about their predicament.

The remaining leader introduced himself as Bolt, and Mogus led the charge in convincing them to stop attacking the farms surrounding Welton. An agreement was eventually reached with Bolt agreeing that they would stop killing livestock and guard the forest from any serious dangers as long as the townspeople refrained from violence against them. With that decided the four adventurers decided that they had fulfilled their objective and returned to Welton.
