Danatroth's History

The First Age
Humans dominating the Prime Material World built great civilizations, and fought and lived with each other as the gods originally intended. Orcs eventually gathered together with enough force to threaten humans, and in their desperation, four human kings worked together to make a deal with the demon lord Baphomet to use his minotaur army. They were successful in bringing an army to help them, but after the orcs were dealt with, the minotaurs turned on the humans and began slaughtering them to prepare for Baphomet's arrival to destroy the world. Armies of Fey, Dwarves, Elves, and other races came together to protect the material world and succeeded in driving back the minotaurs and ultimately slaying Baphomet himself. The Fey then retured to the Feywild and many of the other races took residence in Danatroth.

The Second Age
The nations of Danatroth lived in relative peace for thousands of years as great civilizations rose and fell and great riches were forged. This prosperity was shattered when the Cult of Tharizdun (god of death and darkness) incited a war that would last for over 200 years and change the very landscape of the world. The world's population greatly diminished during this time, and countless treasures and secrets were lost to time.

The Third Age
After what became known as the Chaos War, the cities Goronath and Velheim led the efforts of reconstruction in Danatroth. With roughly 350 years having passed since the end of the Chaos War, a small group of adventurers begin exploring the now untamed and dangerous wilderness, seeking glory and answers from the pieces of history that remain.

All of this information is subject to change as the game progresses.
